Re: Kalgoorlie streaming scanner now online
Thanks to whoever put this up, I've been listening for a while and although it has been a little quiet (expected for a tuesday morning I guess) , the sound quality is good and its nice to hear jobs being called the old fashioned way again. Cheers!

Bugger.. quiet weekend night at home for a change... I was hoping the stream might be up. Oh well I'll tune into the Hunter region (NSW) stream instead, its quite interesting listening some nights.

Re: Polair 61 siteing
Not a sighting I know, just a point of interest ..and a few days late. On Saturday night I heard Polair 61 call 6AR on the radio to direct firies to a deliberately lit fire in bush near some community centre (didn't catch the suburb). I thought it was good to hear the services sharing resources like...

This means that each radio is only transmitting and receiving with the radios around it, w...

My comment was certainly not intended to belittle you Wayne, I am sorry you took it that way. The wording of your post led me to believe you were posing a question and I was just attempting to provide an answer. I hope you will keep on posting.

Re: RAAF Noteworthy Movements
Possibly referring to echelon as the positioning of an aircraft in a formation flight. I think echelon left or right refers to the position diagonally to the rear of the lead aircraft. The pilots among us will probably have a better explaination.
