I don't think it's an sma connection but it does appear to be about the same size. The 57xlt has a female thread whereas my R5 has a male sma thread on it. The 57xlt's antenna has a male thread... since i sold my Icom IC-R5, i'm thinking about upgrading to the IC-R20. Does anyone have one and have any comments regarding it's performance, ease of use? How well does the SSB on low freq amateur bands perform? How good is the audio?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
