Re: Pursuits and other events

Saw them further south with a WT and other *H*** in tow, suspect they were heading to Collie motorplex for training.

TRP still. Hopefully soon we will get the TRK (and the senior first aid TRK, we are hoping to run a pilot next month for the SFA)

Re: General fire discussions

Cat1 USAR is a level below the General Rescue course (in fact if you have G/R you only have to fill out the RPL document for the competency although I would recommend sitting the Cat1 then doing the G/R) The SES progressive training pathway now has Cat 1 USAR as a prerequisite for General Rescue (af...

Re: question reguarding the bpoints on your lience

The key is you dont lose points you gain them. You dont start with 12 and they take them off you. You start with 0 and accumulate from there.(like Zebedee said) I noted that Royle even stated in the paper yesterday that people have "lost points" .

Re: Bunbury police - live internet feed is online!

Instead of buying/ borrowing an inside antenna. How about making a coaxial dipole. Easily made, can be mounted on the window relatively easily and is discrete and best of all efficient (and really cheap).

Re: ACMA closures

Might as well offer complete spectrum anarchy. The level of support given by ACMA lately leaves a lot to be desired. I can quote several times in recent years where Federal MP's had to become involved before some one from ACMA would investigate interference. Not blaming ACMA but the government that ...

Re: Bunbury police - live internet feed is online!

Local is the same as talkaround, Instead of transmitting on the repeater input frequency they bypass the repeater and operate simplex on the repeater output frequency ie Normally for ch14 the radios would transmit on 458.675 and recieve on 468.175 but on local they will transmit and recieve on 468.1...

Re: Bunbury police - live internet feed is online!

I can supply you with a ground independent antenna that is very hard to see from the road (I know the Dalyellup/Treendale, Kingston rules). The antenna is about 300 mm long, 1 mm thick and 3db gain. But you will have to work out how and where to put it.

Re: Bunbury police - live internet feed is online!

Listening to it today as well as listening direct I found the signal is noisy and hit and miss. Quite a few conversations were missed."NOT A COMPLAINT". A better antenna should improve immensely. Will you be adding the other southern and eastern networks or FESA to the stream? (they come i...
