Didn't see it or hear them today but they might've been in Bridgetown proper. I only saw DEC units from Blackwood and Wellington, and BFS/FRS from Bridgetown-Greenbushes, Donnybrook-Balingup, Manji and Margs today. Apologies if I missed anyone.

Re: Bridgetown fire

The big trailer is ONE of the DEC ICV trailers I believe it is nick-named "Priscilla". It does say Communications on the side. The little grey boxes are container style offices for Recon, Media/Liason. Planning, etc. The white bus hiding between the boxes is DEC Operations. FESA Ops was th...

Re: Bridgetown Fire

I've just got back from Bridgetown. The original Bridgetown fire is pretty well all at patrol stage now. Several flare ups during the day but nothing that DEC, BFS/FRS the industry brigades etc, couldn't handle. Should also mention Bridgetown Shire which did a great job of keeping the water up. I lo...

Re: Bridgetown Fire

BuddahFRS and others,

Nope, stopped just south of Greenbushes Mine
Take a look at Sentinel and click all the NOAA fires by Date to get an overview.

Fire got into the semi urban interface area NW of Bridgetown, look on Google Earth if unfamiliar, but not the town proper.

Re: Filming/Photographing Transperth services

I'm reading it as you've got to pay the fee if the fil/photo will be used for commercial purposes. If you are a member of the general public and want to share pictures of your trip, etc with all your net friends (private purposes?) then the fee does not apply. But then I am neither a lawyer or a bue...

Re: Bridgetown Fire

Just been notified that it has been drizzling on some parts of the fireground. Still a heap of mopping up and damage estimation to do though.

Re: Alarm

I thought some of you may be interested in how we did stuff in NSW. The RFS has a simple system that evolved out of the time when Shires were responsible for bushfires. Class 1 (any size incident that is manageable by one local agency (RFS, NPWS, NSWFB, etc) Class 2 (incident beyond the means of one...

Re: General fire discussions

G'day everyone, I've been visiting WARSUG over the last couple of months but decided now is as good a time as any to join. Ex (long time) NSW RFS and currently in a forestry industry brigade down in the south west. Respect to all the Emergency Services personnel out there keeping the  safe....
