Hi Helitac, I never heard or seen EC 145s being used for offhsore work. Normally all S76s, EC220s and new EC225s have just started. A few BOK117s and 206s about. I'm sure you are right being in the know, though do you know where? I guess it could replace the BOK117 at Veranus Is.

I'm sure there is plent of other studies and evidence that has been already done. :o When people are told to remove fitness (or any other equipment) from their station My question would be...

Hi Night-ryder,
I'd be careful who would see or know about it too. Too many crims want these sorts of items and use it for the wrong reasons. Not sure what you want blanks for it. Have you thought about joining a ligit Gun Club?

Hello Markmywords, I am disappointed with SJA and having no accountability, as you have correctly stated. If it wasn't for the guys on the front line - The Ambos, the sevice was have been a lost cause long ago. Though patient care is placed over money at the lower end of the service - The Ambos who ...

Hi Musketeer,
yes it's the lack of accountability as a private business that frustrates me. Publicly owned companies or listed on the ASX, even government departments are all accountable. Though SJA still have too many of the 'Good old boys'.. Sounds a bit Blues Brothers doesn't it??

Don't forget rescue 65 been politicaly driven and not all of the +1000 jobs have been rescues. A lot have been hospital retrievals as big PR and the WOW factor. When Westpac rescue helo was disbanded in WA years ago, it sat in RFDS hanger for 5 years doing nothing. I still feel that the Police need ...

Hi PFO, you're spot on the money; it comes down to two thnigs.
The union having 'Puffy Chest Syndrome'.
The present management structure.
So as long as these things are left in place the volunteers are left as a disadvantage.
Interestingly enough SJANT are also a private service too.

Well guys I also respect your thoughts too. PFO Though St John's IS responsible for the level of training of it's volunteers and not the volunteers responsibile. The volunteers do an exceptional job considering limited training. It was not until 1978 that the fulltime ambos only started accredited t...

And can politicians be trusted?? The Health Dept already pays big $$$ to SJA and has got contracts in place and not sure if this is the long term answer. Though like the other states being Government run services, SJA has shortages as discussed in other threads on this site.. SA has gone back to gen...
