Vehicle Markings
Just a quick question, I've noticed lately that vehicle markings for WA Police have changed. I've seen a few GD's sedans and caged trucks with a different style of markings. They seem to have a chequer band that runs up the back of the car boardered by orange markings obviously for visibility. Im ju...

Cst Butcher
Just wanted to pass on my regrets to hear about the tragic events surrounding what happened to Cst Butcher recently at Joondalup. I am sure that I speak for all NSWPF when I pass on our sympathies and best wishes to Cst Butcher and his family. There is overwhelming support here in NSWPF for our brot...

Re: Vehicle catagories
Is PP, P1 and P2 issued by comms? Here in NSW you come out of the Police Academy with Bronze Certification which means that you may drive a Police vehicle but may not engage in pursuit or urgent duty and must stick to all speed limits and road rules. After a year of you probation, you may re-attend ...

Hey what are the vehicle categories in WAPOL? Which vehicles can or cannot become involved in a pursuit?
Cheers,

Re: Question.
Ur welcome mate! Altough this is a very out there and hypathetical post, its great to see that people actually concider what they should do if they see Police in distress and its a very thoughtout question. As a Police officer, its encouraging to think that non-police (civilians) actually care enoug...

Re: Question.
Just from a Police Officer's perspective, if I was injured and trapped in a wrangled mess and unable to call for assistance, and a passerby came past I would not have a problem with them using the in car or my portable radio to call our comms for assistance. We use codes for officer down etc here in...

Not sure, I have been told that the airbags are in the pillars themselves. I dunno how they are supposed to deploy but anyways. That info was from other NSW Police Officer's who are also not happy about the loss of the caged sedan. It would also make sense given the cages in QLD have the side cut ou...

Its a weird thing about the cages/pods, I dont know how it is in WA, but i think that you guys have the same cages as us here in NSW. They are called STOP (Secure Transport of Offender Partition). My understanding was that they were developed and designed by Holden to fit in VT/VX/VY/VX model commod...

Lightbars!
I've noticed that WA use various lightbars on their police vehicles. Some seem to have the vector lightbars, others the hazard 20 Series or even the Code3 MX7000. Im just wondering what factors decide which car will get what type of lightbar? IE here in NSW GD's have the Hazard 90 Series Lightbar an...

Just curious, where are the spare catridges kept. Here we have two spares in two pouches attached to the holster of the taser. Along with the camera attachment, it makes the taser a large peice of equipment to put on ones belt. Ive notice that WA Police only have the holder for the taser without pou...

Cheers for the replies guy's. I will let my mate know. Should ease his mind a little bit. There's rumour going around that a couple of Sydney Coppers were fired over remarks made on camera. I doubt the rumours are true, but in this job saying the wrong thing could mean ur job, especially in this day...

The FORCE!!
Just a quick question, We have the force filming at our station on Wednesday. Obviously a few of us are very uneasy about it. What do they normally? They are going out with aGeneral Duties car crew and the officers on that crew are not happy. There have been several others that have pulled out. I kn...

TASERS!!!!
Hey all, We have just been issued with Taser's over here in NSW. Unfortunately they are only issuing them to supervisors and DO at this time, but we are expecting an eventual roll-out to all NSW Police. I'm just curious about WA's issuing and use of the taser. Are the Taser's issued to every officer...
