"Trojan" heard on 126.2 yesterday making reference to Echelon. ( Geraldton Spy Base ? )
I'm no expert in the language used on air or it's reference ?

UHF Follow on Frequencies that replaced old FLTSATCOM

Has anyone received any FM voice coms from this military sat service on frequencies around 240~270Mhz ? I used to be able to receive the old FLTSATCOM service when it was used back in the early 90's but searching around on the 240~270 Mhz i have'nt heard anything for ages only lots of dead carriers ...

11175 khz quite good in the mornings here in Bunbury also parrallel 8992 khz with 'skyking, skyking - do not answer' from Andrews AFB.

FYI HF Activity :

Leinster Mobile called Leinster Police Base via Radio Telephone call on 7660khz and was checking regos at 9:50 local time WA.

Both Received on signal strength of 3 to 5

123.450 was quite active most of yesterday arvo heard a few aircraft making initial contact first on CTAF 126.7

Steve,

124.9 here in Bunbury (Roelands) only has a output power of 7 watts, the 128.55 also has a power output of 7 watts but the Mt Macedon site has 50 watts which would give it a far superior coverage radius.

Then your posting of VHF Frequencies have little relevance to us here on a WA Radio Scanner User Group. I can listen with no antenna to 124.9 and hear aircraft 500 klms away as well as they are going through the local satellite relay feed about 15 kms from me on a hill that enables aircraft in a 600...

There are lots of frequencies used in Perth just not the ones that Lino offered i assumed for Perth or WA for that matter unless the ACMA Database is wrong ? I have'nt monitored those frequencies as yet to see if there is any air or ground traffic on them or to confirm any unusual reception distance...
