over yesterday i also heard task forces from kalamunda,serpintine and armadale at various stages being sent

looking at the latest west australian newspaper report online,they have said 1 toodyay resident has burns and has been taken to perth not saying how bad burns are yet,2 firemen suffured smoke inahalation,and 1 fireman heatstroke,never good to hear of injuries and i hope you all make a speedy recover...

im sure most of us here on this forum if not all of us,would like to send our best wishes to the people who have lost their homes,and to all the firemen and firewomen who have been busting their guts in these horrific conditions today, at toodyay.i will be waiting to find out where to donate goods a...

1.06pm just been 3 reported smoke sightings in toodyay area local bridgades are reporting smoke on way to outbreaks toodyay central have already asked for air support both helitack and bombers to assist wants bombers to go to somewhere in the valley and air attack to go to {sounds like} cundall area

i know mt helena where called to a small grass/scrub on keane st next to the large water pipeline,the light tanker was able to handle it that would have been around 1.30pm approx could this be what you heard.

im not going to get into slanging matches but how many fires start from re-ignition of previous burns or fires that have had heaps of water doused on them days later when the weather conditions are right,my opinion is there should be no fire lit on days that are hot, even if its a bridgade watching ...

if this is true about the burn,there must be somebody up higher who has the authority to terminate the burn,if not its just plan crazy to be doing a burn in weather conditions like these,doesnt matter how small it is either just plain bloody stupid.
