I beg to differ. Good strobe beacons are better than rotating lights anytime. LEDs are directional, but only if you build them that way. Stick them in a Vector lightbar and they have an awesome 360 degree vision. There are single beacon LED Lights out there, but I've never seen them in action, so I ...

Re: GC107

Apears to be the New type Falcon [Headlights are awesome] Nice to see that the Police actually get some adequate funding for new cars. Great to see grille lights introduced, as the lightbars on Paddy wagons always tend to be pretty high (to hight to see in the rear view mirror when it's behind you)...

Visibility of emergency vehicles

Ah, a fave topic of mine. Emergency vehicles get in to dangerous situations, and need to me instantly recognizable as such to the members of public (in any sitation/weather). Due to some great technology that is currently available, notabley LED and good reflective stickers, it's pretty easy to kit ...

No no no, I don't care about overseas people (well I do, but not for this problem anyway). Ultimately I would want Emergency vehicles to stick out like dogs balls: hi-vis and no mistake whatsoever. Taxis can stay as they are, but police cars need to be instantly recognisable. I propose a big red str...

All Taxi's in Melbourne are Yellow. All marked Police cars have the word 'Police' on them. All Taxi's have the word 'Taxi' on them. All marked Police cars have white and blue chequers on them. All Taxi's have green and silver chequers on them. I can't recall ever confusing the two here in Melbourne...

Dude, open your eyes! ;-) No, seriously: your standard, run of the mill copcar is a white falcon or a commodore, has a bar on the roof, some reflective stuff on the side and drives around. Your standard, run of the mill taxi is a white falcon or commodore, has some reflective stuff on the side, and ...

Vic one has more LEDs, WA one has funny white corner Lights (are they pursuit or alley/takedown lights)?

As for the Lightbar, VIC wins (was grilleflashers too - yummy). As for the rest - It's pretty even in my eyes.
