Yes 306 was operational however 238 was still heavily used. We also setup 83 mid band.

Re: ACMA: Taxi driver convicted of using GPS jammer

Delivery driver in the US did this some time ago. Drove past the airport each day and disrupted critical systems in the control tower. He was quickly found.

Re: FESA ON SES

I'm not quite sure what your question is however those are the output frequencies to the 10 different SES duplex channels programmed into the UHF handhelds that SES use, as well as the newer Tait/WAERN radios (those that are UHF/High band VHF). If you have a listen after about 7pm on weeknights you ...

Awesome, didn't know the scanner would be that simple with a DVB-T dongle. Have ordered one so will see how it goes.

Thanks for all the info!

Re: HF/UHF/VHF Tranceivers

Thanks Rob, shame that the Yaseu doesn't receive above 164. All of them don't do the 470-480 range however this doesn't concern me too much. The two Icom models look promising, I'll have a look around for a good price on a secondhand one then. I've read online about people modifying these radios to ...

HF/UHF/VHF Tranceivers

Hi All, Passed my Standard theory, regs and the prac today at Ham College so will hopefully be on air as soon as ACMA stick me in their database (soon to be VK6MAH). Does anyone here have a tri-band HF/UHF/VHF Transceiver that they think would be suited to someone like me just starting out? I'm not ...

Yes was just going to mention that's what we do with ours. We use thick white heat shrink as it appears to be more durable and works well with the black permanent marker.
