Oddly enough, whilst watching 10 News tonight (Wed 23rd) I thought I saw vision from NSW, of the McDermott Aviation Bell 214 that has been recently featured on this site as Helitac 672. I swear it was doing a drop in the Blue Mountains with the number 672 on the tail boom (as pictured).

did mean to upset set any one when I said someone's ''blowing smoke up ya'' it was more that I couldn't see them running digital on career and not vollies there would be so much confusing and lack of info swapped, large bushfire or other incidents would be come more crazy than the all ready are. ky...

The proposal to base the Aircrane in Stoneville has been withdrawn and is no longer under consideration by the Shire of Mundaring.

Given the fact that DFES haven't yet finished implementing the WAERN system, I doubt they will be considering the move to digital radios for primary communications any time soon.

Caught a glimpse of an interesting vehicle at Innaloo shops today. A sedan possibly Camry or Sonata type, marked as 'Department of Transport' and 'Compliance'. Almost everything quoted in that article, except the comment from DFES, has been lifted straight from the proposal to the Shire of Mundaring.
