just seen helitaks type 1 and some big orrange one over mindarie heading south !! It was at DOT - license centre in Welshpool earlier this morning. Looks nice! It can take up to 1 hour to get clearance out of YPPH because the choppers have to give way to heavies. Really? Emergency aircraft are (well, should be) given way 100% of the time at any airport and throughout any controll zone. If its not an emergency, they can wait - if there is a fire somewhere,...

Can DBAs/building fire alarms be set off by street sweepers/water trucks filling up and dropping the mains pressure? I heard there were certain hydrants in Sydney that were certified for filling up from and NSWFB (but happy to be corrected) did issue infringement notices for filling up at the other...
