robbage wrote:Nice one Rusty. I'm back at work from next Monday so I'd be happy to look at the GP900 for BFB. No guarantees of course and Doorway Warranty.
Rob,

No problem. Will be posting him a complete harness tomorrow. Good luck!

Re: Volume trouble with my Motorola GP9000

A fix volume is not idel but I would install one if it ment I could use my radio again that would be great. Thanks again mate I have a used volume pot for the GP900. It was from an MTS...

Re: News about new 80ch UHF CB

Oh, so the new channels are receive only? The new channels are transmit also. No existing radios support the new CB channels. i have a benelec land mobile unit in my car, i noticed it has the option of 25hz/12.5hz spacing, would this not mean it supports the new channels? The Benelec radios are Ver...

Re: Scanning articles from CB Action, Radio and Comms, etc

It's been a real trip back in time going through this stuff. The highlight would have to be a copy of a circa-1986 publication called 'Australian Scanner's World', published by the old Electronics Today International magazine. What you said before is true, there were far more sellers of scanning ge...

Re: Scanning articles from CB Action, Radio and Comms, etc

And I'm glad to be able to make some of your work available to a new audience here. The magazines really were the hub of information back then. Looking at the old magazines, the other thing you notice is the number of retailers who were in business back then, advertising scanners, amateur gear, ant...

Re: Scanning articles from CB Action, Radio and Comms, etc

I'm moving house, but don't want to take too much paper with me so I've been scanning some scanning-related articles (now that's a confusing statement but you know what I mean) I found in some old Amateur Radio Action, CB Action, Radio and Communications and Radiomag magazines from the late 80s, th...

Could these be they?

About 30 cm long and 30mm thick?

FS: Miscellaneous Aerials

I am clearing out some of the aerials that have been laying around here for longer than I care to remember and are no longer used. They are: Uniden UHF CB centre loaded SO239 terminated Model AT470. $25 Uniden SCANANTENNA, supposedly covers 25-1300 MHz, standard 5/16 termination. $10 each, I have tw...

Re: FS: VHF (66-88 MHz) Handheld Transceiver with extras

Rusty, Fastlane's comment is accurate. As a forum that promotes responsible radio use, it's an important point to make. It would certainly be unfortunate if someone were to purchase a radio, use it incorrectly and suffer some legal consequences. By the same token, the radio could be useful for some...

Thank you. Now I am sure you could find a little old lady that needs help crossing the road.
