Re: Those new speed camera's

I think speed cameras are useless, they dont save lives at all, simply a money grab. they dont put them in areas where people have died, but places where people speed because the speed limit is stupidly slow. whitfords ave just befor the wanneroo rd T-junction. you will find a camera there anyday of...

Re: Looking for a Scanner around the $250-$400 range

Pretty much any scanner will cover those channels 78Mhz Mid Band (existing network) 163Mhz High Band ( WAERN ) 468Mhz UHF (ex WaPol/SES) the Uniden XLT series scanners will do the job fine, though ICOM, Vertex ect all do the same job, maybe a bit better audio quality. though the uniden scanners only...

Re: Jobe codes and Lingo ...

I would think that there reason behinde them having their windows down on firecall would be to hear other emergency vehicles sirens? thats the reason their different between agencies isnt it? as for police/amb keeping their up, well they might be listening to other information about the call. either...

Re: No 'gawking' at a fire in South Australia

gawkers should have their car crushed regardless of whether they are legally parked or whatever and if they are not in a car they should be made to buy a car and then have it crushed Nev thats a very narrow minded way of looking at it. so youve never looked at a ambulance/police car/fire truck when...

Re: Best Mobile Setup

they would both need to be tuned to the freq. you are using, otherwise the untuned antenna would destroy your radio. people co-phase directional antennas all the time. though, the more connections you have, the more loss ect. and all the effort you would need to go through versus the benefits you wo...

Re: Leederville Incident 05/10/2010

I thought it was an offence to wear any Official police uniform if your not a serving officer/member? would have thought if he was a civ they would turn it inside out, so other bystanders didnt come to him for assistance/information. read the 2 posts above...he is a serving officer. I did, I was ju...
