Had fun driving to work in it this morning. Also witnessed some crazies thinking fog meant the roads become racetracks...

Was some pretty impressive weather though!

A shining example of responsibility right there lol... :?

Drinking in any public place is illegal (or is that just being intoxicated?). Then it just becomes a matter for the officers discretionary powers...

Spellcheck. If you don't know how to use spellcheck, use Firefox. If you don't know how to use Firefox, then there is no hope for you :)

Being a post-regular train user I agree, I used to see the same guards at all hours of the day and night. They do an alright job though, always quick to stop any flare-ups.

We don't have the fancy doppler wind radars here in Perth, but watching the composite rainfail/visible radar is nifty. I too would be interested in knowing if there are any other radar sites available. *edit* just saw...

Yeah CH40 has been useful many times while I've been driving around down south, hearing the Roadworks coming up (especially useful on a long stretch to refresh your attention).

Didn't know about HWP on UHF though. I kinda assumed they'd be listening though. It makes sense.

I always thought 16 was for road trips. Maybe someone was lost in translation :D And strange you should mention the low 20's channels, could explain the weird stuff I pick up sometimes going down SW Hwy and up here around The bush

Maybe the switchover didn't go as planned, and they are falling back?
