new frequency allocations starting with channel one at 476.475 and channel two at 476.4375 I thought channel one was 476.425... Oops, edited. 476.425 is channel one again! :) There are a few people very rarely using 12.5khz spaced channels on UHF CB, then again they also use an imaginary channel 41...

Just as I suspected, I didn't think it would be allowed on a public type' band. Thanks for your confirmation. The only two frequencies out of the band that I have heard activity on are 156.600 & 156.650 :)

Marine Frequencies

Good morning, Yesterday 17/7 some vessel was calling up port, but port were not responding. I was thinking it was because they were not using CTCSS tones they were not being received, though my decoder didn't find any tones on any transmissions. Does anyone know if they use tones at all? My set has ...

It is illegal to have alcohol in a limo according to a limo driver. I guess he'd know. That is interesting, back in 95 a friend of the family (who drives them for a living) took us for a joy ride. We pulled over at tucker bag, got some sparkly and put it in it's cradle for us to enjoy. I don't actu...

That model is an analogue scanner, it's actually aging.

Like others have said, whether it's digital or not you won't receive the police in metropolitan areas because digital scanners cannot decode encryption. To put it simply...

If it were for commercial purposes then Vertel would of suited your question, but I don't think that you will need a big network as such... :)

My work is guilt of using a repeater channel for simplex operations, they have been using it for years and don't want a change. As all, they use CTCSS to make it harder for those to get on and tell them to go packing...

The article that Raymond refers to is: http://www.acma.gov.au/WEB/STANDARD/pc=PC_311117 Page 36 to be precise. I am in favor of such a plan coming into place, but there are numerous issues on how to roll it this out if it does end up passing through. My thoughts will be laid out below in no particul...

Visit www.archive.org and key in cbdomain.com - there is a historical page on there that goes into full detail on how to make a radio retransmit to another in the world using the internet. (I am having trouble connecting to the site at the moment or I would post the link to the article)

From the ACMA database No matches were found for your query. It is either a transmitter on that frequency or it's like what I have found with my radios, it is receiving a transmission from another frequency on that frequency. Similar to interference, but it has it's own technological term that I can...

Re: Channel ctcss question

If I imput a ctcss code into it will it still trip that far??? You should of tried it to see if it worked, it's not like it was going to lock you out of "tripping" you out of NZ. Does your radio permit you to send CTCSS tones on your transmission but not on the receivable audio? Mine does...

does anyone know who monitors this channel?
Down here in Melbourne it's just like any other channel on the dial, even with a registered CREST organisation down here none of the representatives seem to actually monitor it!
