WA Radio Scanner Users' Group

What needs improving by using a balun? All quad antenna's I have seen (but these were HF only) did not use/need a balun.

The only vhf baluns I have ever seen advertised in Australia were from ATN Antenna's in Victoria a long time ago.

I wonder how the device know where the satellites are ... I bet they just have to program in all of those informations and align the dish etc ... Yes the DE1103 is a better than expected radio. Plus it has a BFO so can listen to SSB on it. I have only ever used the internal whip. I have had mine for probably nearly 2 years and paid twice what that listing you showed was. Even then I thought it was a bargain. Even more so now.
