Re: Narrowband Radios
Just a few questions on the Narrowband Radios such as Thu Nguyen, Radio Lollipop and Hellenic Radio : Why do these people bother to broadcast on the band that not many people have access to ? What I mean is that, common AM/FM Radios cannot listen to these broadcasts. Not even the Shortwave (World b...

Re: Antenna Setup - Help Please
hi. Unfortunately because its not my roof, the install must not be permanent and must be easily removed. Thats why im going for the pipe clamp. It will only have the small adsb antenna at the top and a thin airband antenna halfway down then the bandscanner antenna lower down. Use the existing screw...

Ahhh, a trick for new (& old) players
What you are hearing is created by the IF in your scanner. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intermediate_frequency
440.300 - 21.4 (Scanner IF) = 418.900MHz.

I do not think he was a serving officer. I believe he was a party of occupants of the train and was handed a high visability vest because of his location.

Re: APRS - part two
There is little interest in APRS at the moment in Bunbury. There is a digipeater in Bunbury but it does not communicate with the network. I can digipeat to VK6KSB if I do it manually but it does not resend APRS traffic. It might be a case of "build the network and the users will come". VK...
