Yes there is more to it, and some of those are either not in operation anymore or can't be used with a normal scanner to track.

Firstly the Baofeng is not type class rated to transmit on Australian CB. Secondly, this is a reason you need to have the appropriate license to handle this product. If you don't know what you are doing, what frequencies/offset you should be using, you could accidentally transmit on something you ar...

I'm having trouble finding this myself, and wording like that would be a bit outdated in this modern social media world where information of happenings around you is often beneficial. If any wording like that does exist, it would likely be largely ignored.

Do you have *all* the frequencies in your scanner? There are a ton of repeaters for the transits etc since they use portables. They are just standard Motorola handhelds.

You can listen from home, as long as you are in range of a repeater. The PTA network has a massive range of repeaters so there is likely something near you.

Being a repeater channel there is likely an active repeater on it. Registered CB repeaters need to identify with morse code (I think) every so often.

Just off the top of my head I don't think most normal scanners with pass it through correctly without a discriminator tap.

PTA train stuff? In a couple of years they will be on a dedicated network so not much longer to listen to them.
