Not sure what it's called, but this is what Optus use for their mobile phone towers.
It's about 50mm across, but quite lightweight

Re: YPPH ATC Feed
Apologies for the recent downtime of the stream. I've been having some issues with my ADSL router. I have switched to a backup router and hopefully it'll be more stable until I can get a replacement router. Thanks for your patience

SWR Meters
Hi all, Looking at buying an SWR meter for my radios and just wondering what to look out for? Choice Magazine don't really review them... :) It will be mainly for HF and 2m. I've narrowed my search down to 6 or 7 models from Strictlyham Daiwa CN102L - 1.8-200mhz 20/200/2kw 2 needle $149 Diamond SX20...

160-10m bands, budget is $400 or less. Can go higher if needed.
Looking for something cheap to get started.
I live in a first floor apartment, with a balcony, and am not sure what sort of reception I'll get until I've tested it, hence not wanting to spend too much money.

Anonymouse callsign on VK6RAP
Hi all, I was out last night, when I heard "Anonymous requesting a signal report" I replied telling them 5/9, and asked them why they hadn't used their callsign. They responded with "Thanks", then another station who gave their callsign, told me, not to answer calls if they don't...

Re: Shortwave Newbie
But it's only got a 3.5mm antenna jack, not a BNC or other, so adding a decent antenna to it will be an issue.

Re: Shortwave Newbie
I bought this unit as well (Degen DE1103), and think it's a great little unit. Only had it a few weeks, so haven't really picked up a lot.

Antennas for apartment balconies
Hi all, Just thinking about what options I have for my apartment in regards to antennas? Initially I'll be using just a 2m/70cm antenna, but would like to add a 10m half wave dipole later on. My balcony faces 060 deg (give or take) and is on the first floor. But I have access to a balcony on the 4th...
