Re: Any computer buffs here who can offer some help?!

Single or Dual Head? (Does it have one or two connectors?)

"After the initial boot screen" do you mean after the Windows Logo/Linux Boot Screen or after BIOS?

If it's a dual-head card try swapping to the other port. Usually it is coloured yellow or blue.

Re: Bus and Train Frequencies???

Quick question, I currently have my scanner locked to 418.2500 (not much else interesting to be heard here). Is there a mirror frequency for this? Like a repeater? I have another station programmed in as 485.9500mhz and I'm pretty sure it's the same conversation. *edit* Apparently it's Wilson Securi...

Re: Streaming FESA scanner audio

Hi Folks. We had a power outage this morning and although the server has come back online, the stream appears to have no audio. I'll take a look this evening :) Everything's fixed now. Was able to restart Winamp via VNC. Enjoy! (For technical folk: It's impossible to connect to the consol...

I know there are heaps of marked FG's but haven't been close enough (lol) to see if they are secure.

Re: Legality of Obstructing a Speed Camera

I've read the Traffic Act, cant imagine anything? If anything it could be disobeying a move on request from an officer, if one was given by an officer, not a camera operator (who isn't a commissioned officer). The question has to be asked though, why would you be parking in front of a speed camera? ...

Re: Leaving the Scene of Accident

"If involved in an accident, you must stop and render assistance." Close enough, and is definitely a criminal act. It's used in the context where you are involved in an incident like a hit and run causing injury or death, or if you witness such an incident. It's more to do with showing no...

Re: Bunbury police - live internet feed is online!

Shoutcast DNAS (http://www.shoutcast.com/download) Winamp (http://www.winamp.com) The hardest part was getting a good radio and antenna to get the stream sounding as good as possible. That is the same problem I am running into. No good selection of arials and probably the worst location (7m above s...

Re: Bunbury police - live internet feed is online!

Just for your info everyone, I am about 200mb away from being shaped to 64/64, with the plan rolling over on Tuesday 1/6/09. This month I was only on a 10gb plan, as soon as it rolls over I will be going up to 25gb, so it should not happen again Out of interest, what programs are you using and at w...

Re: Bloody Computers!

Funny you should bump this post today, just turned the scanner back on after a little break, my fileserver (which sits in a solid-steel case made for underground mines) doesn't affect the scanner at all. But as soon as I turn on the desktop machine, all hell breaks loose :D Might have to move my gea...

Re: Rescue 65 Frequencies

Best to listen to 6AR for updates. I just happened to look at the flight tracker and was wondering myself why it had done dozens of orbits of the bush. I'm going to assume Polair isn't available (does Rescue 65 have FLIR?) From what I could see (no lights shining directly on it) it had some pretty ...

Rescue 65 Frequencies

Hi Guys,

Just had Rescue 65 doing laps of my area for the past hour or so, looking for an old lady. Couldn't seem to pick it up on the usual aviation band (108-138). Can anybody enlighten me in terms of what I should be tuning in to?

Cheers :)

Uniden UBC120XLT

Hi Folks, Just a quickie, I opened up my radio just to see what's inside and I have found what looks two be two adjustable knobs. Any idea what they would be for? I don't have a capable camera at the moment, so I will try and describe them. One has a small plus sign on it and is labeled on the PCB a...

Bloody Computers!

Well, I posted earlier saying I had problems picking up FESA clearly. I also realised that I wasn't hearing any of the rx I normally do (Wilson Security, Karrinyup Security, Surf Lifesaving, Transperth Security e.t.c). Found out what the problem was... My computer was blocking(???) almost all my fre...
