Different one. The WIA have processed it and it's disappeared off their "available callsigns" list on the website.
So once I've applied and been granted the license by ACMA, you should hear me on air as VK6FBCM.

Re: Foundation Licence
I passed the Foundation license back in 2006 when it was first released. I have been off air for a couple of years and let my license expire but have sent my callsign recommendation form to the WIA and they have processed it and should receive it back early next week. Then I have to apply to ACMA fo...

Two Heletacs just flew over my house (Yokine/Nollamara area) at very low altitude, headed north east toward Bennett Springs.
Bloody loud!

Re: Channel 1 and 8 repeaters?
Thanks guys, I was playing around again this morning and realised when testing last night I had the radio on low power (1w). When I upped it to 5w, I can now hit channel 1 fine.
Anyone know if there's an ETA on Ch8 coming back up?

Channel 1 and 8 repeaters?
I've been out of the UHF CB scene for a long time and just dug my old GME TX6000 out of the bottom of a box and charged it up. From Yokine, I can hear channel 3 but not get into it, and I can hit channel 4 ok, but 1 and 8 seem dead to me. I know for a fact that 8 in the city if it were up, should be...

Re: So how do they know?
Sorry to dig up an old thread, but does anyone know roughly what frequency range I would need to scan around to pick up DAVS?

Re: General Aviation Discussion
Sit down the back. I did on one of the flights and the landing was horrible! The plane was an ATR 72-500. Seats ~70 people. The first flight we had we were seated in row 01, the very front of the plane. Takeoff and landing was very smooth, the only thing about the front was the engines were very no...

Slipknot, Regardless of who calls for an ambulance the patient receiving the service is responsible for paying the bill. +1 to this... I have Medibank Private Extras cover, (no hospital) and they must hate me right now. I broke my ankle late last year, I was alone at home in a 3rd story apartment a...

Re: General Aviation Discussion
Without being too off topic, has anyone here ever flown on an ATR 72-500? Twin prop... if so, what are they like? Noisy? Comfortable? Reliable(!) I'll be flying all around Indonesia in the next couple of weeks with Lion Air, who have a reasonably good name for an Indonesian airline... their last maj...
