Has anyone else seen the new Main Roads Merc Sprinters with the push bars & red LED's? Have seen them on the Roe & Tonkin as well as the Freeways.

Re: Rock thrown at Maddington Truck
That happened to me in the same spot about 3 years ago. It was during the daytime, i saw them and served in time. It's quite bad along there between Brixton st Flyover and Nicholson Rd flyover. Reid Hwy Mirrabooka is another bad spot.

Re: Transperth to trial hybrid buses in March on CAT routes
whatever happened to those Hydrogen buses? The trial of the Hydrogen buses finished in Sept 2007. They sat at Malaga Depot for quite a while after that. (18 months) From what i'm told, the mechanicals were stripped and sent back to Germany on No's 1 & 3 and then the body was scrapped. No. 2 is ...

Re: License Plates
Saw a new WA plate today, on a grain trailer - SL. xxxx with seasonal written underneath it. I'm assuming it's for equipment that is only used occasionly to save on rego costs. Didn't know that this was available.

The circle freeway will only be that in theory - does matter how many overpasses get built, Reid, Tonkin & Roe will never be classed freeways due to the fact that they are needed for oversize loads. It's funny watching all the cranes exiting the Roe at Karel Ave to head south to Kwinana Industri...

I've noticed it sitting a company in the Willeton industrial area just painted all white now! Another ex CH7 OB unit up in Wangara still pain...

Sort of.Current tunnels under Stock & Cockburn roads would probably be ok. Current tunnels under Ranford road & Kwinana Fwy probably wouldn't! The biggest issue along that rail reserve would be the underground pipeline from Bp refinery Kwinana to the massive storage tanks in Kewdale which ru...

Re: It's that time of year again ladies and gentlemen...
Just looking at the Metronet map, which indicates 29 new train stations for the whole project. The current Govt indicated the cost for the new Atwell/Aubin grove station to be at 100 million (which included new rolling stock) so say the actual station costs 40-50 mil, thats over a billion easily jus...

Re: It's that time of year again ladies and gentlemen...
I read the metronet proposal, which in theory looks good but not sure how they will fund it. At todays prices you are probably looking at 2-3 billion worth of work (thats conservitive!!!) If the southern loop is using the Kewdale to Freo (as well as Kewdale to Kwinana!) line, that means the freight ...

Re: Bus fire
Bussy Busswell said on the news this arvo that they are NOT pulling the gas buses of the road. Probably can't afford to as 43% of the fleet are gas - it would cause kaos!!

Seen an old 70 series landcruiser (6 cyl) marked up as USAR today. In career colours with a tray body & tool boxes, LED's & the fluro magnet - Urban Search & Rescue. It's fleet number was X059. Looked like an old LT that had been converted. Anyone know where this is based?
