Re: Police Rescue Vehicle
didn't they spend like something stupid on it like over 500K. There was much criticism around as they could have bought an Australian made for less and possibly got 2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bushmaster_IMV 1 doesn't sound like enough. What happens in a siege, the crims know exactly if they tak...

Re: Margin for Error with regards to speed cameras.
As the rest have said, if you go to a magistrates court and watch someone defend themselves for speeding they are found guilty about 90% of the time. Bit like no one is guilty in prison right?. I know it sucks, and it really will cost you less money + headache to just pay the fine and move on. If yo...

Re: Soo sent off my ap
Woobla, you are entiltled to your own opinion and I suggest you don't turn this into/ nor am I interested in an online argument, you don't know me and I don't know you, but Singkenten's comments were not simply saying that the PI was 'rough'. (Don't take this as a personal attack Singkenten) Those ...

Re: Soo sent off my ap
I don't think that it's a good idea to give an insight into the PI on a puplic forum Singkenten. I doubt that recruitment would be very impressed with the discussion at hand. get real buddy. Why do you have to be so self righteous? Almost makes my stomach churn. I don't think him saying, yeah it wa...

Re: Help to identify strange vehicle!
Sounds like the trg to me. Bomb squad has big vans.
Why somebody from WP would need to drive like that.. Besides I doubt western power would then follow with 2 un marked sedans. Id bet money was definitely the cops

Re: THE FORCE
I'm sorry, but does anyone else think that is getting a little bland.... However watch the England programs, alot better... Although I'm English, I have a bit of problem trying to understand the accent! Perhaps a little bit, no where in the same league as COPS. But I still enjoy it. I also enjoy so...

Re: Soo sent off my ap
Just if your interested... If you have applied previously and are now sitting in the pool, before you can be selected for a place you will need to sit an additional aspect to the physical. There is now an agility component that will have to be passed. It is essentially weaving through a set of mark...

Re: Police Custody Officers
From what I have heard from people. The UK special (auxillary) cops aren't that respected. But hey if it makes the community feel more safer even if it really isn't then I guess seeing more uniformed 'cop's around will do. Still no substitute for the real thing.

Re: Transperth Security and Transit Officers
Damn no wonder the police were complaining about a year ago about the rise of 'fake police' and powers in the security industry. Too many jokers with arrest powers. As for the citizens arrest, wouldn't you then be open up to civil issues? such as damages if you get it wrong coming directly out of yo...

Re: Transperth Security and Transit Officers
So, basically, if a Wilsons transit officer asks you for your name and address and you refuse, he or she can arrest you (using citizen arrest powers) as the penalty includes inprisonment. Hope this helps :) PS. Please keep posting as this is good stuff! Thanks for the info.. Though I don't know if ...

Re: Soo sent off my ap
Sooo sent off my app today for wapol. Told about 12 month delay if I get in. Due to economic uncertainty etc and the 're-engagees' that is those that abandoned the coppers chasing the big money coming scurrying back. Also no more pommy recruitments. Changed times for wapol. How is everyone's apps g...
