Re: Foundation Licence

Yeah Yeah, well anyway.. I passed :) 23/25 correct on the multiple choice, and 100% for practical and oral.
Now just waiting for my license to be processed :)

And Dougie, if you mention the word "upgrade", I will beat you with a scanner antenna :) That goes for you too Gav!

Re: Foundation Licence

This coming weekend is the first Foundation course for Ham College for 2014. The course is full with eight people registered -- including a WARSUG moderator who's finally taking the plunge and getting his licence ;) I only did it to shut him up :) Pestering me for years to get it! Re: trunking systems in Perth

Searching for Burswood came up with these results, not sure if they are current.

Re: MOTOTRBO DP3400

Ok, I'm given DSD a run, and having some luck but not fully decoding the transmissions.

493.525 and 498.725 I believe are 1 channel (With the first being the repeater output)
494.050 and 498.250 being channel 2 (With being the output).

Now to just decode it..

Re: P25 Radios

Thanks. Yeah 492.325 is the Output, as I can hear it in Maylands, where as when I'm at the airport, I can only head 497.525. Thank you! Hoping to still work out the Aerocare ramp radios next. But I think I will not have any luck as they are Motorola TRBO. Maybe the Uniden BCD436HP will do it?

Re: P25 Radios

Thanks for the tip. I've put all 3 into seperate One-Freq trunks, and it seems to have done the trick. 497.525 seems to be the only active frequency though. I'm guessing the other channel 492.325 is for Air BP use? http://web.acma.gov.au/pls/radcom/licence_search.licence_lookup?pSOURCE=RADCOM&pL...

Re: MOTOTRBO DP3400

Yes the UBCD396XT...
And no, not SJA, but someone at the airport.
Pretty sure it is digital.
Unsure if it is encrypted or not.

P25 Radios

Hi, I'm trying to listen to some stations at the airport. Their frequencies are 494.325 and 497.525, and they are P25. There is also another frequency 484.9375mhz, but I'm unsure if that is required. The radios they use are Kenwood TK-5320's with a P25 label on the side. I've created a P25 group acc...
