Although I missed the open night, I'm glad I came tonight and signed up.
Looking forward to bring my skills, talents, and sense of humour to the group, and hoping to do some good for the community :)

Re: Multiple Scanners sharing 1 antenna

Hi Gav,

I got a friend of mine to get me some LMR400 cheap, 25m length. At the end I've 3 x t pieces.
Reception with 3 receivers is nearly better than before with the RG58.

Re: Multiple Scanners sharing 1 antenna

Hi Bonez,

Yeah I intend to upgrade the cable to RG213 soon, due to the extra signal required to split it 3 ways initially, and later on 4 ways.

Thanks for your advice.

Multiple Scanners sharing 1 antenna

Hi all, I want to add 2 or 3 more scanners to my LiveATC feed. Currently I have an old Uniden 3000XLT (From memory), connected to a raspberry pi. Antenna is along a RG58 (or 59) coaxial cable about 15-20 m in length to my friend's apartment balcony which has line of sight to the airport tower and so...

Telco coaxial cable

Not sure what it's called, but this is what Optus use for their mobile phone towers.
It's about 50mm across, but quite lightweight

Re: YPPH ATC Feed

Apologies for the recent downtime of the stream. I've been having some issues with my ADSL router. I have switched to a backup router and hopefully it'll be more stable until I can get a replacement router. Thanks for your patience :)

SWR Meters

Hi all, Looking at buying an SWR meter for my radios and just wondering what to look out for? Choice Magazine don't really review them... :) It will be mainly for HF and 2m. I've narrowed my search down to 6 or 7 models from Strictlyham Daiwa CN102L - 1.8-200mhz 20/200/2kw 2 needle $149 Diamond SX20...

Wanted - HF Transceiver

Wanted - HF Transceiver
160-10m bands, budget is $400 or less. Can go higher if needed.
Looking for something cheap to get started.
I live in a first floor apartment, with a balcony, and am not sure what sort of reception I'll get until I've tested it, hence not wanting to spend too much money.
