Re: any1 know of any callsigns or call codes

I was under the assumption that PTA had both their own employee's and contracted Wilson staff. I'll be the 4th message to admit my f...

Re: any1 know of any callsigns or call codes

Today atleast, callsign Victor and code 0. Victors are Transit Officers who ride the trains during the day. They are the day version of Tangos who are TOs who ride the trains at night. There is no code zero it is more likely you heard someone phrase a different code as "code zero-one" "code zero-fi...

I'm listenig to the Florida repeater (164.925), What talkgroup do I need to monitor? My radio display contact details once someone keys up, but I don't recieve any audio. I have it set to simplex mode, with my CC and TS on 1. I have turned off group call matching too. Edit: works fine now, just had ...

Baofeng DM-1701 first impressions

I recieved the radio yesterday in the mail, after just over 14 days, which wasn't too bad considering it shipped from China. I ordered it for $118.25 from eBay. It arrived in the original box, which was a pleasant suprise, compared to the bubble wrap that they normally ship in. Unboxing the radio wa...

Re: PTA going to digital LTE

Seems like some of the guards have new radios now, they look like Tait handhelds rather than the standard Motorola ones. Probably getting ready for the digital changeover. Will they be using P25 or DMR?
