Handhelds are often poor in receiving if you are far away from the transmitter. A more suitable antenna may help you, however if you are barely getting anything, it still might not be good enough unfortunately.
Put Pinjarra 217 in as well in case you are in better line of sight with that.

Unfortunately not. Over the years, they started getting taken down due to copyright. Back in the days before our current social media and news website video hosting, recording them was a thing. Not so much anymore.

You'll need to put more than a couple of frequencies, places that are listed on the documents may not always match where they actually are. For an area of unknown channel allocations, I'd literally stick all 500 odd frequencies in and hit scan! I've got a freescan file (or I can output to a csv docu...

And do you mind linking to the radio reference place you got the info from? The scanner won't need to know location, just frequency.

Usually you'd just use Freescan, however I see it's not compatible with that model. This site does mention an alternate version though https://wiki.radioreference.com/index.p ... User_Guide
