Re: Codes

The Bravo callsigns you refer to are Transit Officers (Railways) - not Wilson Security (buses).
The Bravo's are roaming officers in a vehicle normally on the Mandurah line. Dunno what they'd be doing at Gosnells though.
Wilson's (buses) also have Bravo callsigns.

Re: Perth Train Station Incident

C'mon Kilmo we all know its just a tempremental alarm that goes off whenever it feels like it several times a month.

It goes off so often that everyone, even Joe Public is already fully trained in the evacuation process!

Re: Hijacking the airwaves

Well this idiot is still at it. He's even broadcasting himself and his mates and girlfriends having a party. They sound pretty young and he's disguising his voice (sounding like a beaver with its nuts in a vice). Hopefully he'll get bored and get a job or a life. Hopefully both. I guess he'll either...

Hijacking the airwaves

Was interested in getting feedback on your thoughts about certain individuals who either hack into, or broadcast over (using stolen radios) security channels. There is once again some numpty who is interferring with the Public Transport (PTA) security channels and is broadcasting himself at random i...

Re: Transit Officer's Search Powers

They have powers to search anything however they must have a 'reasonable' suspicion that you are carrying something that is not allowed on public transport. Eg. Spray cans, marker pens, knife/machete, etc. Reasonable suspicion can be a cloudy area but if they hear something jingling in your bag that...

Re: Transperth Security and Transit Officers

The Revenue Protection guys can observe and report ONLY when it comes to anything other than a ticketing offence. They cannot legally detain anybody. Yes they can defend themselves against injury or death (wouldn't you?). They may defend another against injury or death however policy says they canno...

Re: stay off the tracks

the current $200 isnt harsh enough... it should be 3 months jail with a $5000 fine. The problem is would you want to charge a person $5K and 3 months just for jumping onto the perway to retrieve a mobile phone even when the information machine states that a train isn't due for another 10 minutes???...

Re: bright vests , red,yellow??

What's a Transperth CSO? Are you referring to the CSO's or Transit Officers not distancing themselves from Revenue Protection (now MSS security), cos I'm certain that the TO's do?

Transperth Security (Wilsons Security for buses, affectionately known as WILPOL) are yellow. An earlier question asked why Tra...

Re: Filming/Photographing Transperth services

Its true you can film whatever you want without copping a fine. However if you're filming or photographing stuff and act like a tool when questioned about it, you may get a fine. If you're carrying a camera and tripod you could be fined for getting in the way of passenger flow. Also if you're standi...
