Re: FESA frequencies
I just noticed the WAERN pdf contains some additional repeaters, channels 371 - 380. Anyone know if these are 'live' and what if any of the old repeaters (mid band) they link to?
I also noticed there is an extra simplex channel, there may be more changes I haven't noticed.

Re: FESA frequencies
Does anyone know the WAERN repeater that is linked to CH16 (old) in the Perth area? I've been hearing helitacs recently saying they are operating on ch16, since my scanner won't pick up the old 78MHz freq I'm trying to find the WAERN repeater that is linked. The closest repeater to Perth that I can ...

Re: FESA alerts
So does anyone have a favourite RSS reader for windows mobile? I've tried pRSS reader, which was good had a few issues and is no longer supported. I've also tried SPB News, which I like , but the auto-update feature didn't work.

Re: amatuer radio shop in perth
Thanks for the replies. I think I'll wait and see what price Prestige can do and if it's pretty close to $399, go with them. If not I'll take a risk on the grey import from Andrews.

Re: amatuer radio shop in perth
Has anyone bought from Andrews Com in NSW? (www.andrewscom.com.au) What are they like?
I'm looking at the new Yaesu FT-7900 and Andrews have it for $399, I rang Prestige and they say it's not released yet and won't have it for at least 2 more weeks. I don't know if I can wait two weeks!

CH10 footage?
I missed the news about FESA's launch of the Employer Recognition Program. Did anyone happen to record the CH10 news on Sunday 24/08?
Is that an offical SOP or just something you have heard on the scanner before? It has not appeared in any training I have had so just wondering. I haven't seen it in any training, my comment was just based on the practice we tend to follow. In seasons past the 6AR operator could only see Gazetted F...
Does that mean, for us BFS Brigades that are within the Gazetted area, should be calling 6AR on turnout? Millsy, please correct me if im wrong I didnt think there was many if any bfb stations who's area of responsibility was within the metro gazzetted fire district hence the reason why they use 6IP...

I can program gp 328 radios. I have a few of the 16 channel radios setup for the bike with a throat mic and ear piece with the PTT button on the handle bar next to the horn button. Can I ask where you got the throat mic? I bought one off ebay a while ago, but it was poor quality and my voice comes ...
