Hi,
It doesn't mention about encryption. NSW police are supposed to be encrypted but people can monitor them ok.
Have to wait and see a friend of mine in the police saids it still is not definite yet.

I say do what the Americans do and drive up beside them and shoot out the tyres or use the spikes.
An maybe a few lashes with a whip like in Singapore might curb the little youngsters from stealing cars for fun.

Hi, Thanks for the info. I recently purchased a Uniden BC296D digital trunking scanner. It supports the Motorola Astro 25 digital system which the WA Police are changing to in 2007. The manual doesn't mention MPT (Motorola Xpand trunking) so I presume the BC296D won't be able to pickup this system. ...
