Towards Perth is the UP, away from Perth is the DOWN.

But on the Fremantle suburban line it is the reverse. I think this is because Freo was the original terminus.

Personally I've found Xcorder to be better than Scanrec. You should be able to find it on google and v2.0 was freeware.
