Re: QH106 being used as a booze bus
If you don't make an effort to deter people from driving while under the influence then anybody who feels like it will drive under the influence. Same deal with police chases. Stop chasing and anybody who feels like it will drive off. I agree with you entirely. I never meant to imply to not make an...

Re: QH106 being used as a booze bus
I'd rather they catch the drunken idiot that might kill my family than the guy selling ½ ounce baggies. What if a number of people who brought the drugs died from taking them? Or if they killed someone (like a drunk driver could) whilst out-of-their-mind on them? The problem is even if you have a b...

Re: At a red light. Emergency vehicle behind you. Your rights?
Thanks for looking into it. However I'm still puzzled, it is an offence not to give way, but it is also an offence to run the red light? The way I see it no matter which option you choose either stay at the red unable to move or go into/through the red, you still commit an offence? I'm right with y...

Re: "Childs play at NY air traffic tower sparks inquiry"
However I don't think that in the old days when you used to be allowed to go into the cockpit of a 747 during a flight between Perth and Singapore for a squiz that they would let you anywhere near ANYTHING - look but don't touch. There's a massive difference here. My apologies - I was referring the...

Re: "Childs play at NY air traffic tower sparks inquiry"
The distraction caused by the children wouldn't be much more than that caused if they had something emotional going on with their life. And on the contrary, some people have higher concentration when they're supervising someone else doing their job with their job on the line. But yes, his concentrat...

Re: Google Streetview
I heard a rumour that the streetview cars are mapping Wifi MAC addresses at the same time. What would be the point of that? Only way I can see a use in it is to show wireless hotspots.. but I suspect that isn't likely to take into account insecure home networks? As for Midland area, my dad spotted ...

If its for hosting your story, then you could consider http://www.scribd.com/. As far as I'm aware it's free to upload, and anyone can view it free and without registering.
I've never actually tried it though.. In any case, look forward to reading your story once its available

Re: Unmarked Police Vehicles
Then an unmarked Commodore S/W came by at speed also, again no lights and sirens... I've always believed police/fire/ambo etc can only 'break the speed limit' while utilizing lights and/or sirens and without them they must behave like any other law abiding citizen. One can only assume though its on...
