Re: LEDs
Something that i do miss is the alternating-flashing headlights which seem now are only used on ambos :( I've seen a few Unmarked Cars Have Headlight Flashes, And out LT 1 has flashers aswell . All of the current-model fire appliances do these days, however, for the most part they only kick in when...

Sad.. It was a country P plater. 18 years old. Its believed he was lost and reading a road map and crept forward onto the tracks as a result the train struck the car and resulted in the driver of the car being killed. The Driver of the train is being treated for shock and there are no further injur...

Secureforce getting priority status? One word... LAUGHABLE! They are not involved in life-threatening situations - the Police, Ambos and Firies do. I understand why Western Power need it and fully support it. I'm not sure that the SES are allowed to drive priority and, if they do, I'm not convinced...

Hope they arent comparing themselves to Western Power at all. I believe FESA was instrumental in getting approval for WP to do this - primarily 'coz firefighters cant do anything at an electrical incident without WP intervention. Bit different this one though - the Police are the law enforcers, not ...

might've been something else they were heading to. bushies shouldnt be going to car prangs anyway - not exactly equipped or trained for em! (unless of course, theres a resulting fire).Millsy wrote:maybe the vollie got turned down , but they defo came flying past my house . i watched them . the LT2 and 3.4

Re: FRS and Bushfires
This is because i believe that Red trucks are for House fires rescues etc and that the White/Yellow trucks are for bushfires. :?: Our white truck goes to house (structural) fires - we're dual registered and carry BA gear etc. Good point - the term "Bush Fire Brigade" is a bit of a misnome...

Rather than having two sepeate brigades as in the BFS and FRS why cant we have one Fire Serivce. When there is a fire or incident FESA send the nearest brigade....sounds simple enough to me. The logistics of training and equipping a single fire service is prohibative at the moment. Some brigades su...

The 7.2's are all locally built - theres no FESA designed appliance of this type. I believe they are designing a standard 9.2 tanker at the moment. The Helitac truck is actually just a ground support vehicle - carries fuel and the like for refuelling the Helitacs. For those that dont know, the calls...
Also, the helitacs are now colour coded, they are all completly white but each have a different colour on the tail section 668 has a blue tail 669 has a red tail * 670 has a yellow tail * 671 has a green tail Correct me if im wrong with 669 and 670, but 668 and 671 are correct. This is different fr...
