Re: DPAW Frequencies
Hmm Thanks Yorky. The reason I ask is that I stumbled across this one yesterday 168.95 MHz, didn't appear to be listed in the DFES list. This one is registered on the Bickley fire tower featured in nine news last night, I must say I didn't know those fire towers were manned anymore, let alone every ...

DPAW Frequencies
Hi All!
Just wondering does anyone know if the channel list for DPAW is available anywhere on the forum? Can't seem to find any apart from the ones listed in the DFES frequencies list.
Thanks

Half wave, full wave dipole for HF
Hey everyone. I'm getting back into the hobby again and needs some advice on antennas as they are my one weakness in terms of knowledge. I've only really ever used a half wave Dipole, and only really ever been interested in the 20m band. I'm trying to archive higher antenna gain, and thought maybe a...

27mhz on FT857
Hi All.
I'm just curious, I've only just noticed a few videos of operators using the Yeasu FT857 to talk on the 27mhz band - Apparently the 11 meter band.
Just wondering this part of the ham bands or are these amateur radio modified to talk on the old CB 27mhz bands?
Thanks

Re: local channel of an incident
Ahh ok, didnt know there was a uhf frequency........yorky wrote:It could be between 354-369 really. And mid band 46-49 or 96-99 but as stated not common any more.
However if you are talking more on house fires, and career fire fighters they use UHF portables.
are those UHF channels listed on WARSUG?

Hi all. Ive been reading through a large number of posts today in an effort to tune into the Joondalup council. Are these still operating on the motorola smartnet on 800mhz? And if so, are they analogue talk channels or digital? Not sure if the information posted is still valid as some articles are ...
