Public, key word. On my roster it states "Transit Officer" and on my union agreement it states "Transit Officer". In any public forum it will state "Transperth Security Officer".

Anyways, enough of arguing ...

As far as Wilson is concerned, officers are and have always been hired under the job title of "Transit Officer" and they are also called this in their Union Collective Agreement. The only thing thats changed is that PTA has recently asked Wilson not to refer to their officers as Transit Officers ...

This says it all, really.. and you wonder why some people aren't impressed with bus security/wilsons etc..

i havent heard anything of going to the white shirts.. and i think it would be a very silly move. It'l be too confusing for the public; the public perception is that security officers have little power and you do not need to give them name and address etc and they cannot issue infringements.
