thnx guys...u all been such great help! thnx! i have around 96 channels programmed in already :P....the city rail seems to be more of the interesting frequency...its soo addictive!im thinking about driving around in the city to pick up more frequencies :P.....

thnx mate! and yes i did purchase the 93xlt :P...owellz cant win them all can you :P...yep i live in sydney..thnx mate, but whenever i manually try to enter a frequency in it always says "error"..and another question is how do u delete frequencies that you have stored? oh yeah one more que...

hey guys its me again...with another question :oops: ...now i know that repeaters are the best way to pick up strong signals, but my question is how do i pick up my local repeater? and another question is about talk groups on these repeaters. how do i program these talk groups into my scanner.. http...

thought so, thanks guys! having loads of fun with the rail road channel...does anyone know exactly whats on the rail road channel, i think i can here the fire brigrade too...and are the transit officers on that service band too?

hey guys just picked up the 93xlt from tandy...for 218 bucks...been testing out the scanner in comparison with my UHF, and it seems like my UHF radio picks up more CB channels than my scanner...i thought the scanner was supposed to pick up the channels better than my 1watt uhf...a lil baffled....

yeah dick smith dont seem to sell them...at one dse i called up (not going to mention which store), the lady didnt even know what a radio scanner was..after explaining it to her she tells me they dont have any...lol..anyways gave tandy a ring and they knew what it was, they seem to sell the 93xlt......

I got a 93 from Tandy electronics a few weeks back. They seem to stock them thnx mate ill give them a ring...its jst that i have a dicksmith gift card, otherwise i wouldnt be able to afford one...i am trying get a price match...so is 218 the cheapest around? Tandy sell them for $269 but I got a cas...

hey guys gave dick smith a call today and to my suprise they dont sell the uniden 93xlt yet! :| now correct me if i am wrong but the 93xlt has been out for awhile, while i know its the updated version of the 92, surely dse carry them..the lady on the fone said that they dont sell them nor do they ha...

Anyone shed some info on the ubc120xlt

im looking to purchase a decent and affordable scanner..however i have been tossing up between a few..im leaning towards the uniden 93xlt scanner or the 73xlt..however i have recently stumbled across the 120xlt (which i believe is a lil older) but i was wandering is this scanner any good? as for it ...

thnx guys..been such a great help! so either the 72 or 92 XLT scanners are good? how many digital transmission is out there? are there still more analogue than digital?
