Took some pics of the reloading operation. We just got a request for reloaders at Busselton for these planes. Was too late responding, and missed out. Heading there now for a look.

That will make for a very long turnaround time. Busselton is in the process of upgrading the runway and facilities. I think Busselton is able to handle these planes, and has enough reloaders and runway to deal with them, and is much closer to the incident.

I presume for the Northcliffe fire that these would be operated out of Busselton?

Posts to the Major Fires and Incidents thread will also be auto-tweeted. I find this feature very useful. Here is my contribution to this thread. I was there on Friday night, and, yes, it was less than satisfactory regarding comms and control, but we found the fire, and stopped it.
