Final days in LA and dropped in on station 5 near LAX. During the visit they got a call so didnt get finish looking around. But got to see the Airport fire trucks from a distance as well.

Malaga and Osborne park turning out to structure fire Cusack rd Malaga. Malaga turning out from another incident somewhere in Bassendean. Perth 2nd going to a pole top fire Noranda
Osborne park arrived 66 1st alarm grass fire.
Midland and Malaga also turning out to grass fires in caversham possibly ...

W-F Spending a few days visiting family before christmas

While in Wylie there was a gathering of police cars as well. Picked a good week to visit. Not sure which of these is stationed in Wylie or where the others are from.

Seen on Wyalkatchem oval on the 20th Dec. Photo in photo section

Was in Wylie for a few days and they had there 4th call out for the year. Managed to get a photo of the truck in the station and also Rescue 65 as it was waiting on the town oval for the Ambulance.

Career firefighters, especially FRS are absolutly USELESS! in fighting Bush fires. By useless, I mean there will be no point in putting FRS in the hills with a Heavy Pumper. Either create a Career Bush Fire Brigade or increase DEC Heavy Duty tankers in the hills area.

After the Carabooda house fire several weeks ago Craig Hines mentioned in an interview with
Howard Sattler that the metro area would be getting 4 large tankers.I assume that the BWTs are what he was talking about.

Not sure where your getting your info from but USAR is based at Canningvale.
Mass Decon is based at Malaga. and that is the first I have heard of Mass decon or USAR moving. I think someones had a slow day and an overactive imagination. A USAR/mass decon station would be an extremely quiet station.

I am fully aware that Midland, Joondalup and Success I think have trialled it. It was being proposed as a replacement for the light tankers in the metro area. The career firies as you say didnt like it. As I understand it finished the fire season at Bassendean Vollies
