Just a general question, are P25 transmissions allowed on CB radio frequencies?

Help needed for a "bricked" XTS3000

So I recently got a Motorola xts3000 off eBay from the Eastern states. It came programmed with 80ch uhf cb and a few other random frequencies that I wanted to delete from the radio. While writing the changes from Astro Saber & xts3000 cps software, my computer suddenly froze (being the slow piec...

I've just got mine entered into a standard conventional system/group (along with all my other FESA frequencies) which works just fine. There's really no need to put it into a separate P25 system which is far more complicating to work out

Re: Digital Scanning

What about the fire tenders at airport.Think there around 500.050 mhz. From Maylands you should have no problem picking them up. I listen to the airport fire tenders too on 500.825Mhz. It's pretty intersting when they've got fire drills going on + I can hear it loud and clear from Yokine. The P25 qu...

Re: id codes for uniden 996xt

For police u have to set up a Motorola P-25 system with control channel of 502.6562 (Joondalup) or 502.3937(Mirrabooka). And u still cant hear anything. It just gives u the id. For 502.3937, I found that the System ID is 01ADh-0128 and whenever there is a transmission the TGIDs vary from 9-13. Not t...

Re: Organising Frequencies

I use a scanner that uses dynamic systems and groups Same here :) I have the Uniden ubcd396xt which works off systems instead of banks (as commonly refered to with uniden scanners). Within each system is a group where a number of frequencies can be entered. I have mine set up as: Public Safety - FE...

Re: What can I listen to on a digital scanner in Perth?

Stumbled across 465.300 today which was unencrypted P25. They talked about a "pre season fire drill". Turns out it is registered to spotless services which are cleaners at pattersons oval.

Re: Perth Airport Digital Trunk

Will there ever be a TETRA compatible scanner?? I know for a fact that TETRA is encrypted by default and it is illegal to intercept encrypted transmissions.

Re: Programming P25 digital

. . . they don't use a control ch so I programmed them into a P25 single freq system. The Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting Service operates on conventional repeaters with P25 digital voice - hence NO Control Channel. Only Trunked Radio Systems have Control Channels, or Talkgroups. -- Comint Yeah I ...

Re: Perth Airport Digital Trunk

Have a look here: http://spench.net/rf/ Around the airport area, things like ground ops freqs and so on. Be warned though - Ground ops freqs for airlines tend to use callsigns and codewords (for obvious reasons), so don't expect to be able to tune in and know exactly what's going on. The link doesn...

Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to add the IC codes to the list eg IC1, IC3 ect

Re: Perth Airport Digital Trunk

I can't seem to pick up any control channels on any of those frequencies?!?! Maybe someone who lives close to the airport could shed some light. I'm pretty sure the 400MHz frequencies wouldn't be trunked
