Re: Busselton/Margaret River Airport
Can't help you with the ground crew - no idea what they use, however the CTAF frequency is 127.0, and the Melbourne Centre Area frequency is 124.9 (But aircraft can only just hear it on the ground, so depending on your gear you may not be able to hear Melbourne).

Re: Rous Island Container Heli Pad
Hey Bermejo, The helipad in fremantle is firmly outside controlled airspace - so there is no requirement for them to contact Perth approach before depart or arrive. The area frequency is Perth Centre - 135.25, while they are not required to transmit on that frequency they may occasionally ask for tr...

You're going to have to be more specific: what kinds of things are you wanting to listen to etc.

Re: Is DL under serving JFK/SFO business?
Hi James, Welcome to WARSUG.
Unfortunately the sales practices of US based carriers is a bit outside the scope of this forum, being based around Radio use in Western Australia.
If you have any questions or discussion on any Australian Carriers however we're happy to talk.

Re: Thoughts for discussion
I can honestly say that I have not noticed any interference, however I have not used a radio in the terminals for years. Given the amount of RF in that terminal however (Ramp staff/Check in staff radios, engineering radios, repeaters for air to ground links) it does not overly surprise me that there...

It depends on how much runway they need... if need be they will operate out of Perth.Kingy wrote:I presume for the Northcliffe fire that these would be operated out of Busselton?

Re: Other incidents/minor fires etc - 2014/2015
I believe they were using the call sign "O'Conner" as the vehicles were sourced from the O'Conner workshops, not from Forrestfield. In the past they have used vehicles from Forrestfield, but it is possible that all Forrestfield appliances were already committed with staff and volunteer cr...

Yes it was O'Connor, who were stationed at Canning Vale I think. I guess they may have been a spare appliance manned by a relief crew? As stated above resources were all over the place and stretched very thin that night. I believe Rockingham 1st was at Welshpool. Better late than never: The O'Conno...

Re: Streaming DFES scanner audio
Have set up a couple of receivers on WAERN and there's a significant delay in audio between the repeaters, which probably explains everyone talking over the top of each other (the local repeater sounds like it's quiet but someone else has already started talking) With 205 and 380 going i'm not hear...

Makes sence to me... considering 3rd alarm is an automatic turnout for the ICV in theory
