I've also heard that cold fire can be used on pretty much any class of fire. I'm guessing not electrical though.

What's in the all chrome extinguishers? Is it the cold fire type ones that were used at Motorplex about 5 years ago ?still used. I haven't been there in 3+ years so I don't know what's used now.

All very impressive especially the FESA Incident Command vehicle. Looks fabulous. Would love to get a look inside. If only they had something like that up in the top end.

Re: West Coast Ambulance
A little similar but remember the red, white and blue are standard Ambulance Victoria colours. They're clinical support officer car looks very similar to AV response cars that i've seen. Probably just trying to establish a clear identity to the rest of the SJA cars on the road. Using a similar liver...

Re: New WAPOL Chopper
I'd assume they work very closely with ADF special forces. But that's just an assumption/opinion. Was just commenting on robbage's post about if only they had somewhere to practice.

Re: Ambulance services other than St John
Pitty no more Rodeo in the middle for drags. Was a good night out usually. Oh well how times change. At least this time if I do come back and there is a resus I can do a bit more for the patient. No idea when I'm coming back to WA even to visit at this stage though. Have got leave next month but alr...

Re: Auxillary Police THREAD
Second that NT Police have had Police Auxillary staff for a while. As said before have personally seen them at the Watch house, in comms and various admin duties (including front counter work, police shop fronts in shopping centres) throughout the NT.

Airborne sniper practice. Perhaps they could practice it at an ADF (Australian Defence Force - Army, Navy, Air Force) range/training area somewhere. There should be a few near Perth.

Re: Combined Speed and Red Light Cameras?
Quite a few combined red light and speed cameras in the Darwin area now. at least 6+ with plans for more. Sounds like you have a similar set up. Sensor box behind a camera box. All of ours are in prominent intersections (some are less than 50m apart but catching traffic in different directions). Gre...

Re: Ambulance services other than St John
Mr G Seems like things have chagned since my days at Motorplex. No more VFAS vehicle in the middle for speedway and a Paramedic crew instead?? Same with drag strip, have a paramedic crew behind the start line (except on fast fridays)? Or is the the ambulance crew in the bay by the entrance to the sp...

Re: West Coast Ambulance
Any idea what these guys are doing or any info about them at all?? I'm guessing it'll be patient transport plus anyone whom calls them direct for an ambulance. Are they Advanced Life reincarnated again?

Re: St John NT Trainee Paramedic Intake June 2010
Forgot to add successful interstate applicants are usually sent to places aside from Darwin. So if you are applying and aren't currently living in the Territory be aware that you may be sent to Tennant Creek, Katherine or Alice Springs. People living in Darwin tend to get Darwin but this is always n...
