Re: Mobile setup

On another note i should be in a position to start stocking the mobile and base antennas shortly along with ICOM radios. Now i just stock commercial gear including coax and connectors but will be moving into amateur gear at the start of March. That's great! It'll be just awesome to have such a loca...

Re: Mobile setup

Hi All, I have had a few of these clone antennas and generally they last about 3-4 months then go high SWR. Well at least thats what happened to mine. Since then i have been running the Diamond SG-7900. Works well, although at 100k she gets a fair bit of a bend due to wind loading. On another note i...

Re: Pursuits and other events

Hi All, Just heard on tail end of a job in Toodyay earlier. Has been some Northam and Kalgoorlie (KG201) cars there. Anyone hear what happened? Sounded like a big one of the main oval? By the way, heard them talking about what channels to use when they come into town. VKI advised them from Northam/T...

Re: DX reports (FM and repeaters)

Had a nice QSO with VK6GHZ last night via Cataby. Was up at the Zig Zag and it was 20 over 9 running 1 watt. Duncan had the handheld inside the house and was getting Cataby well. Other repeaters heard were Geraldton and Northampton. Nothing from the South though. Was about midnight. I won't ask wha...

Zebedee wrote:Yep.

There's been a bit of a setback in the form of "canine vs feedline" - the feedline lost.

It'll be back on air once the feed-lines can be repaired ;)
Shame it wasnt put in at Walliston!!

Cant hear it up here in Chidlow. Think its time to get the antennas up higher! Danny - VK6FZUK Hear hear - it's pretty much unreadable in Mt Helena which is unusual for the "hills" repeater locations. If I knew what was happening with that 30m tower, I know a great location on a hill up h...
