Rescue 651 is the new call sign for Rescue 65.
Rescue 652 will be the second helicopter once it's operational in Bunbury.

Rescue 65 VH-EWA
For those of you interested in tracking the Bell 412 rescue helicopter in Perth, VH-EWA now has ADS-B equipment fitted. They have been testing the aircraft over the last few days and should be putting the normal yellow 412 aircraft back in service soon. http://www.flightradar24.com/reg/vh-ewa Helime...

Leigh,
If there is a low cloud ceiling or fog on the ground Rescue 65 will not be able to land at any incident.

Re: how much does it cost to be airlifted
Nafenn,
Rescue 65 is not a St John service, they only supply the Critical Care Paramedic for the aircraft and you will therefore not receive a bill from St John for any helicopter rescue or transport.
That may differ if there is any ambulance road transport involved.

Re: how much does it cost to be airlifted
We are not talking about operational costs for each organisation.
The original question was whether or not you receive a bill for their services as an end user!

Re: how much does it cost to be airlifted
RFDS and Rescue 65's services are covered by the the State Government.
The end user does not receive a bill for their services as is the case with St John Ambulance.

Re: legality of calling ambulances
From the St. John Ambulance website:
"Billing Policy
St John Ambulance is a ‘user pays’ organisation which means that travelling in an ambulance is not free."

Re: legality of calling ambulances
Slipknot,
Regardless of who calls for an ambulance the patient receiving the service is responsible for paying the bill.
Just ignore the idle threats for legal action as you cannot be held liable for this ambulance account.

Re: St Johns Ambulance Vehicle clear LED lights
It is a requirement for some Industrial Mine Site vehicles to have clear lenses with the orange colour only being visible when the bar is on.
The clear LED Light Bars are as a result of the manufacturer standardising on clear lenses for all their bars.
