Re: Radio Performance Question
I've not actually tried that. I'll go for a drive now around the city and see what kind of performance I get now that it's quiet.

Radio Performance Question
Kind of an open-ended question so apologies for the vagueness; What is the best way to determine the "performance" of my radio? I've just picked up a second hand GME TX3520 and a 60cm antenna to go with it. I've mounted it behind the car on the towball so I realise that's going to affect t...

FREQUENCY LIST - BASSENDEAN AND SURROUNDS
Hi All, Realised today that I had not rescanned for transmits since moving from my old location in Karrinyup/Scarborough. Here is a list of frequencies I was able to receive indoors with a Uniden 120XLT w/Scantenna; 78.075 FESA 78.250 FESA (WEAK) 78.325 FESA 78.100 FESA 118.55 PERTH INT 120.50 PERTH...

Re: Online streaming scanners discussion
163.25 is indeed the one it lands on. I'm pretty sure the antenna I am uing is the cause of the bad reception. It's an old "scantenna" than came with the unit when I bought it. Never really had the time or money to go researching into better solutions.

Re: Sticky: Online streaming scanners
I've basically gone through and added all the FESA and Tranperth 49x.xx frequencies I could find using the frequency guides here in WARSUG. The most common FESA freq it seems to land on is 132.5 I believe? Or something around there. My setup really is a set and forget one. I have no idea what freqs ...

Re: Sticky: Online streaming scanners
Hey All, I've had a scanner running @ http://scanner.clonnyserver.com:8000 for quite a while now. FESA performance is pretty bad, but it picks up Transperth and a few others up in the high 400's quite well. Scanner is based @ Eden Hill. Feel free to provide feedback via PM on here or by email to adm...

LOVE the ciggies on the dash
Yeah I've seen a couple of cars up north-ish (Gin Gin). Same kind of deal, looks completely plain other than the long-range arial mounted.

I suppose it's not really a secret that the crims used to use scanners to dodge the police before encryption. I'm not sure why all essential government and enforcement services aren't encrypted...
