This is quite important, as the laws of physics outline that as you move away from the fixed infrastructure point the data rate to a mobile unit falls away. Try it with your own Wi-Fi connection - move away from the service point and watch the data rate fall down fairly quickly. The same will happe...

Ham College's VK6RIB information beacon is now on APRS. Look for the question mark symbol labelled "145.575rx" ( see aprs.fi here ) This should come up on APRS-enabled radios and work with the QSY button (except for the FTM-350 which doesn't decode frequency objects apparently) Anybody wit...

I got one of these for cheap from dse a while back. Handy for my desk at work. Also, easy to add a discriminator tap.
