I remember watching a woman go through a body metal detector and it went crazy. The hand held wasn't much better on her upper body. 32 piercings. Wasn't at an airport though.

Sounds like things are starting to wind up in Freo. Guess we will have to read about it in the news like the masses.
Two women transported to Freo station so far.
This digital system is a real bummer :(

Poor V District operator. Has the Freo incident to deal with, an offenders on in Orelia, 100 youths to clear in Spearwood, and an irate landlady in Rockingham, not to mention the previous armed holdup in Rockingham. Certainly earning his pay tonight. Must be after affects af the full moon :D

There are trunk tracking handhelds around. I have a Uniden UBC396T and it works a treat. (Should, nearly a grands worth). Tricky Dicky havve a slightly cheaper trunk tracker but still around $600 new. Have a hunt around E-Bay as Uniden trunk traker II handhelds are around.

It is easy to do. In a companay I used to work for, if an operator paged a radio with selcall, the radio would beep quite loudly until the PTT was used. If a worker was even some distance from the vehicle they could still here it.

Tried downloading the manual but kept getting errors. A quick look at the specs shows 16 channel steps, so 12.5kHz channel spacing (which is pretty standard), should be able to be programmed in.
