Re: Fire Weather
As soon as it goes to Severe and Catastrophic there is a automatic TFB put in place. I am pretty sure they changed the law for that to occur. Unfortunately this is one part of the problem with FESA's attitude to TFB at present. To many grey areas and guesswork. They need to flood media and get it i...

Re: Bassendean/Guildford VFRS
Hi Acidie,
A thought in a different direction, so to speak. If distance is possably a bother but its some form of emergency service you are after, have you given thought to SES? There are many more urban units which may give you want you require.
Cheers

I also have membership in other sites where we can upload pictures direct fom our computer without the hassel of third party sites and the potential to have our pic's wiped from the storage site (e.g. comment by Yorky 11th July 1:05pm). Re: Other incidents/minor fires etc - 2010/2011
Its bad enough anyone being killed, but a fellow firefighter is worse. Like one of the family going.
Condolences and thoughts go out to the family and also to the truck driver who must be extremily stressed over this as well.
R.I.P.

Re: Severe weather alerts
St Seedy, no need to be nasty. It was a feasible question by Gohie and no, we are not aware of Wannaroo having any special strike force requirement by FESA. If so, that is news to us.

Re: BFB ID Codes
I expect that even as a VFSB your pagers will still carry the B32 code at the head, as other VFSBs still have the alpha-numeric brigade code. I'll put B32 on the list for now, but let me know if your pager turnouts change. Bullsbrook appears to have a bit of an identity crisis at the moment. Since ...

Hi Auntys_eyes, 44 - incident as despatched/described not found/located, no other incident found, investigating further 66 - incident found/located and is the same as, or similar to that as despatched/described, getting to work (then advise 'alarm' classification for resources) 88- incident found/lo...

Re: General fire discussions
The codes are very simple really, the first "codes" represent arrival and intensity of fire, the "types" (alarm) are the resources required.
Thats it.

Re: General fire discussions
Quite correct Fastlane, but tomorrow is only rated as "high" up here in the hills so in theory there could be permit burns, although I can not see it being approved to light up. Hope everyone has a quite one tomorrow.

TARGA Rally frequencies?
Hi all,
Does anyone have frequencies for the TARGA Rally today? Especially for the Bullsbrook sections.

Re: General fire discussions
As a firefighter on the ground, has anyone thought of how all of us on the fireground are supposed to clear the drop zone when the DC - 10 is inbound? I'm told its bad enough being dumped on by a helitak!
