Re: Significant bush/scrub fires 2010/2011
Only problem with linking FESA Alert is the alerts expire, so following the link days later, no info available. Hmmm... we may need a permalink function..., but then quick posts won't be so quick.... Colin. [quote="Zebedee"][quote="Helitak_670"]Mods, perhaps links to the Fesa web...

Re: BNC (PL259) Custom Wall PLate.. Help?
If you are more concerned with loss than looks you could run the coax through a blank wall plate with no connector straight into the back of your equipment.
Nice looking wall penetration, no additional connectors, but consider that during lightning you could have a live wire inside the room.

Re: USA is a joke
Hmmm.
What do they do in the case of a bushfire?
How does $75 compare with our own ESL?
Does ESL apply to metro ratepayers?
Glad we don't have this system here - I'd be inclined to break ranks and put it out - but my job wouldn't be on the line as I am "only a volunteer."

Sounds great - I have been considering streaming my local BFS (Northam) from a Linux server, but haven't had the time.....
What do you consider your local BFS?

Maybe not as many, but certain residents of Toodyay think this has been a bad season - so far....Helitak_670 wrote:What fire season? There certainly has not been as much action as last year or the year before.

Hi all,
Anyone got a Remote Head to suit a Series 1 Tait 2020?
Or is there a kit so I can convert the local head to a remote head?
Colin.

Re: Windows XP
Someone at Micro$oft must have realised that XP is better than Vista, 'cause you CAN downgrade to XP, not Vista.Tyranus wrote:...You can't upgrade XP direct to 7 so I would suspect that you can only downgrade to Vista, thus you would need a Vista license to downgrade to XP legally.
