The light tankers I've only ever seen used in Summer for attending bushfires, I believe the LT would be kept on station so that currency on the appliance can be maintained and also used as a backup if Kings park goes up in smoke before the other pumps and LT's arrive. KP&BGA have their own LTs ...

I think if this years gonna be a bad yer for fire we should all bind together and help out against arson so i ask you all if you see any suspicious persons or firelighters report this vital information to the police by ringing Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 and/or put it in here .... remember $50,0...

I have seen a similar rescue service around fremantle lately. It had red, blue and amber lights. Will get more details next time I see it.

Maybe in the short term but perhaps not when the super station in Northbridge is finished. If the railway line is also sunk it would provide better access from Northbridge to Subi.
